Positive: Writing I travel frequently across France and usually stay in budget hotel chains, so I wasn’t expecting anything particularly special when I booked the Atlantic Hotel in Pau. However, this stay turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. From the moment I arrived, the service was warm and welcoming, and the overall atmosphere felt more personal than the typical chain experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, offering everything I needed for a relaxing stay. What really stood out, though, was the breakfast. It was honestly the best breakfast I’ve had in a long time in France. There was a great variety of fresh, high-quality options, and everything was clearly prepared with care. It set me up perfectly for the day and far exceeded what I’ve come to expect from similarly priced hotels. Overall, the Atlantic Hotel offers excellent value for money and a noticeably higher level of quality than many budget options. I would definitely choose to stay here again when passing through Pau.
