Summary: The kids got to swim, jump off a floating platform, kayak & canoe, fish, roast marshmallows by the fire, and help me grill dinner. If any of these is your goal then this is a fantastic place to do it. There's also rentals for boats and jetskis nearby. The swim area is shaded starting in the afternoon. Property also included paddles for the kayaks/canoe as well as the requisite life jackets you'd need to go out. It's shared space, but we didn't have a problem finding a kayak or sharing the fire pit, deck, etc. The fishing was very good for the kids and they caught at least a dozen fish. Ashby was very responsive when we had an issue and got us a solution quickly. As for the downsides: As mentioned in other reviews, it is a tight spot: a small room w/ bed and couch + tiny kitchen + small bathroom, with a really nice screened porch. They gave us very nice airbeds for the kids which worked well. The bed itself was OK but mildly aggravated an existing back problem. Lots of bugs but that is too be expected, and we didn't see any ticks the entire week we were there. Overall fantastic spot. Perfect for us but mileage will vary depending on for what you are looking.
