Positive: We spent three nights at the hotel, and overall it was a pleasant stay. The building itself is beautiful, with a stunning reception area. In front of the hotel there is a lovely garden and pool. The hotel also features a jacuzzi and steam sauna, which added to the comfort of our stay. The hotel staff were very polite and helpful, which we truly appreciated. We were generally satisfied with our stay, although we feel there is still some room for improvement for a hotel of this standard and price range. One point that felt a little uncomfortable for us was the housekeeping service during the day, when staff came in to make up the bed. While we understand this may be standard hotel policy in France, we found it somewhat intrusive and unnecessary, as it felt quite personal. The rooms are functional, but the interior design could better reflect the charm of the historic building. The design was very basic, in navy and yellow tones. The bathroom lighting was also not very pleasant, making it less comfortable both for applying makeup and for relaxing. Breakfast was satisfactory, but we would have appreciated a greater variety of vegetables, fruit, and fish. Compared with hotels of a similar category and price in Poland or the Netherlands, we have experienced a much wider breakfast selection, especially for vegetarian guests. Since we do not drink coffee, and the room only had a coffee machine with two capsules and no tea options, this was a missed opportunity for guests with different preferences. The payment process was a bit unusual: we were charged the full amount for our stay in advance, but upon arrival, we were asked for a €300 deposit. The initial payment was then refunded to our account, and we had to pay the difference later. We would have preferred to pay the full accommodation cost upfront and simply settle only for the drinks we ordered at the end. Overall, we think the hotel is a very good choice for visiting the city, and we enjoyed our stay.
