Classic mid century home sitting above downtown Roseburg with 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. Home has beautiful views of the city from each of its five decks. Home is fully furnished with everything you'll need to relax, or work with a private office space and high speed WiFi. Walking distance to shopping and dining. Use as your base to explore Southern Oregon with trips to the Oregon Coast, Wildlife Safari, or hiking/fishing/rafting in the Umpqua National Forest. Dogs welcome with a fee.
The space
As an Oregon native, born in Roseburg, the Hawthorne Haus is my personal getaway and vacation home for our family. We welcome you to experience this unique home while we're not using it. The home was built in 1952 and has many original fixtures, as well as some upgrades over the years.
If you want a hotel stay, the Holiday Inn is across the river. If you want a unique experience in a historical home, with quirks and charm, you’ve made the right choice.
The home has three floors, entering at top you'll find the kitchen, dining/living space, private office, and two decks. Going down to the second floor, you'll find 2 bedrooms, a half bath, and separate shower room. These bedrooms have a shared balcony deck. You'll also find the master suite with private deck and entrance on this level. Moving downstairs, there is a finished, unfurnished walk-out basement, plus a large laundry room.
With each visit we devote time to a new project to bring out the home's character. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
