The Neighborhood:
The Belmont District which is located in Southeast Portland, runs along Belmont Street from about 31st to 60th Avenues. Interestingly, the Belmont District is actually located in the Sunnyside neighborhood, bordered on the North by Laurelhurst and on the East by Mount Tabor neighborhood. It is also bordered by the Buckman, Kerns, Center, and Richmond neighborhoods. The Sunnyside District area is a very popular area in SE Portland. Known to most as "Belmont", Sunnyside has a strong sense of Portland individuality. Sunnyside has many locally owned coffee shops, markets, and distinctive shops and restaurants. Belmont Street is a favorite destination for many locals, whether it`s for an afternoon at the Avalon Arcade, a night at the Blue Monk, or a cup of coffee at the neighborhood cafe. This area has a nice mix of urban diversity, with a funky feel, and local color. You might often hear The South East Belmont neighborhood is diverse and eclectic, and a neighborhood`s neighborhood.
Oh, but there`s plenty of places to go in the Belmont District, make no mistake. Go get a boffo breakfast at Utopia Cafe, or sit and salivate over a great burger at Dick`s Kitchen. Take a walk down the sidewalk later in the evening to have a drink or three at Aalto Lounge, or at Blue Monk where you can also listen to a good band play or watch some belly dancing (Yup! Belly dancing!). And you must experience The Pied Cow (3244 SE Belmont St), a favorite Portland coffeehouse in a “painted lady” Victorian with a nice big side yard where you can sip the brew (coffee or beer) of your choice and have a huff on a hookah if you`re into that.
Getting Around:
To have an authentic Portland experience, there is no need to leave the neighborhood. Shopping, dining and entertainment are abundant. This is very urban area convenient for walking, biking or using public transportation. Portland also has a wonderful Bike Share BIKETOWN located all over Portland Metro. You could get around efficiently with an UBER. Public Transportation: there is a bus stop is on the west side of 42nd by the home. You can use the buses and the MAX light rail to get anywhere in Portland Metro.
A Coffee shop right next door; yoga and dining just across the street; grocery store less than half a mile from the home and a great food cart pod only a half a block away with ATM onsite.
Other Things to Note:
-This property is available for rentals above 31 days and requires a separate rental agreement and background check to be in compliance with Oregon Tenant Law. Please provide an email address to send the agreement and all signatures must be completed prior to check in.
- You must be over the age of 25 to rent any of our properties.
- No additional guests and visitors/guests that are not registered on the reservation booking are allowed to be on the property after 10 pm.
- No PETS allowed at this property at any time.
- Smoking anywhere on the property will result in forfeiture of your entire deposit plus can result in additional fees up to $500 for smoke removal.
- Self Check In using lock box. Check-In is any time after 4:00 PM and Check-Out is by 11:00 AM.
- Housekeeping is required every 15 days and provided at an additional cost of $50 per cleaning. Basic cleaning including disinfecting kitchen and bathroom, change linens and clean floors. If you would like a mid stay cleaning on shorter stays this is an option as well.
- There is free parking in the lot, but not "reserved" -There is FREE street parking right next to the building. In the event that you could not find a spot in the lot, or on the Free street parking side, you could park across the street from the building.
-Pack and Play must be requested ahead of time as it is in storage. It is shared and on a first come basis.
