Travel Purpose: business

Positive: Spotlessly clean secure apartment. Very spacious. Large rooms. Would suit a family if it was better equipped. Modern bathroom with washing machine (I assume it works. BYO detergent though). Plenty of storage drawers and cubicles (but only 3 coat hangers and limited hanging space if you need it). Heating in each room. I couldn't figure out how to use it (!), but I'll assume they work! There is a large courtyard which can be used a parking space if you need one, although there is plenty of parking just down the road beside the canal. Great location for access to the Veloroute.

Negative: There is a large modern kitchen. Would have been great for self catering except there were no cooking utensils. One tiny little chopping board, no oven proof dishes, no spatulas, no whisks, no wooden spoons, no sharp knives... not even a bread knife. There were some saucepans and a frying pan.... not sure how you'd utilise them though. Plenty of plates if you bring take-away ...... The lighting in each room is very basic. Not a lot of light, making it difficult to work. Issue with hot water. I should have let the host know as soon as I arrived, but I thought it could be due to water sharing etc... when I informed the host the trickle of warm water was all there was, she contacted a plumber immediately who had to replace the entire hot water system. Host was very apologetic. Just bad luck for me I guess, but if you'd arrived with a truck load of children this would have been a big issue. Rest assured the next visitor will have hot water!

Summary: Spacious, clean apartment but unfortunately it's poorly equipped.
