Positive: The location is nice and peaceful and the building itself is very well renovated. Nice swimming pool and a decent breakfast.

Negative: I intentionally waited for my holiday to be over and see other places before reviewing this one. Overall we were quite dissapointed with the experience and this stay and it did not meet expectations. Firstly, there's a huge language barrier - it's basically impossible to speak with the host in any other language but French, which actually resulted in a major problem: the host proposed to move us to a different room because of the bad weather (which turned out not to be bad at all). We've booked a cottage which has private kitchen and a proper table, but the room we got had nothing, just two extra beds. Even though we've agreed to change rooms, it was impossible to communicate and to express any view. The host should have shown both rooms, but they didn't show us the cottage. Next time, if you can't communicate with your guests, don't experiment with changes - give them what they booked. Also, if you offer a replacement, you should not offer a replacement which is worse then the original booking. Once I sent a message to the host about 2 hour after check-in that we are not satisfied with the room and would prefer to move to the original room, the response was that the host left and we can just use the communal fridge and kitchen. It showed lack of understanding by the host. I do not want to cook in front of other guests and eat dinner I cooked at a communal table. That's why I booked a cottage. I don't want to have food in the fridge everyone can access. Furthermore, the friendliness of the staff didn't seem real and genuine. We've stayed at other places after this one and they seemed genuinely friendly and helpful - this is not the feeling we got here. It seemed artificial, like they made the place nice, but don't really want guests there. Perhaps there were too few guests and it was too much effort. The room could also do with some shower gel and shampoo.
