Stroll along the beach to where the Netarts Bay meets the ocean, or drive up to the end of Happy Camp Road to find easy beach access there. A few blocks away is a boat rental, so guests can go out fishing, crabbing, or exploring the bay on their own! When the tide's out, bring a bucket and a shovel (and clothes that you don't mind getting muddy) and try your hand at clamming. If you prefer, simply drive up to the Bayside Market and pick up some fresh crab there. Have a meal of fresh seafood at The Schooner, or try the tacos at Upstairs Bar & Grill. For even more options, you can take a quick seven-mile drive into Tillamook, which hosts a variety of eateries, as well as shopping options and plenty of activities including the world-famous Tillamook Cheese Factory. If you feel like driving north along the coastline, you will pass through small Oceanside on your way up to the lovely Cape Meares State Park, which has hiking trails, picnic areas, and a historic lighthouse. Tillamook Bay is also easily within your reach, as are hiking and biking trails, and scenic viewpoints all along the coast.
