Positive: Our stay at Château La Bastide could not have been more perfect. We were a group of 5 families (9 adults and 5 children) and rented the entire property for a week in August ‘25. The estate itself is stunning – surrounded by greenery, with wide open spaces, a pond, 3 beautiful horses and endless things to do. The grounds are arranged in a way that allowed us all to both spend time together and apart while enjoying the many indoor and outdoor spaces, including the swimming pool, the gazebo with plenty of seating, four bicycles, table tennis, table football, and a cosy living and dining room. Inside, the château feels like a genuine home, nicely decorated with indoor plants and thoughtful little details that make it warm and welcoming. Everything was clean, comfortable, and organised to allow for both relaxing and exploring. Our host, Vincent, was exceptional. He has clearly set up the place to maximise comfort and enjoyment. He was generous, friendly, and responsive while giving us complete privacy and a relaxed atmosphere. It truly felt like staying at a friend’s home rather than just renting a holiday property. One of the highlights of our stay was the incredible four-course dinner Vincent prepared for us (on request, at extra cost). From start to finish, it was ample, delicious, and perfectly paired with excellent local wines – easily one of the most memorable meals of our holiday. Note that the cleaning fee is not included in the rental price, so be sure to factor that in. Overall, this was an unforgettable stay in an exceptionally beautiful and welcoming place. Perfect in every way – highly recommended!
